Roger took over the license at Arthington Barn in 2016 and the winners have grown year on year. Just as importantly the horses enjoy fantastic facilities and are looked after by a dedicated team of professionals who ensure each and every horse has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
Mick Easterby has trained racehorses on the flat and over jumps for over 60 years. His first winner, Great Rock, came at Edinburgh in 1961 and he has since trained the winners of over 2,400 races. Famous winners have included Mrs McArdy (1000 Guineas 1977), Wiganthorpe (Gimcrack Stakes 1986), Lochnager (Champion sprinter 1976), Peterhof (Triumph Hurdle 1976), Gentleman's Deal (Winter Derby 2007). Having turned 90 years of age in 2021 Mick is still sending out winners.
David Easterby holds a joint training licence with his father, Michael. Previously, David was a successful amateur jockey and rode numerous Point-to-Point winners.
Karl Burke has trained under both racing codes for 30 years, training his first winner Temporale which came at Towcester in 1991. Karl has gone from strength to strength having winners in group company with the likes of Group 1 winner Daring Destiny, Dante winner Libertarian and his biggest success Laurens in the Prix de Diane at Chantilly
